The day is finally here: the beginning of the 2025 Arizona high school football season.
Players, coaches, parents, boosters, marching bands, cheer teams, pom squads, and even the people who run the concession stand have been gearing up for today.
In just four months, four new, or repeating, teams will be crowned state champions at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe.
Anticipation is building. Not just for the coaches, but the players too.
Arizona Varsity was able to catch up with some athletes from the East Valley about what they’re most looking forward this season and what it’s going to take for their team to win a state championship at BJ Media’s East Valley Media Day.
