Week 2 of the Arizona high school football season helped some of the teams at the top really separate themselves- and it resulted in a tie at the top of the 6A voting between Basha and Liberty.

In 5A, Desert Edge survived a challenge from Cactus Shadows to hang on to the #1 spot in a unanimous vote.

Snowflake falling behind Coconino and having to come back to win the game resulted in a strengthening of Mica Mountain’s hold on the top spot in 4A.

In 3A, the media poll produces a #1 vs #2 this week in Benjamin Franklin vs Thatcher.

San Tan Charter’s late loss to 3A Seton Catholic kept Scottsdale Christian firmly in a unanimous first place atop the 2A rankings.
